Is the co-founder of the Contemporary Photography Center La Fototeca and the GuatePhoto International Festival. de Tezanos has played an important role in the movement of contemporary photography in Guatemala and the region by dedicating herself to the creation, management, curatorship, and teaching of photography. de Tezanos started her photography career at an early age, doing her studies and working as an assistant in Paris, France. de Tezanos has produced curatorial essays for selected festival exhibitions such as Rotterdam Photo Festival (Netherlands), Photoville, Dumbo Arts (NY), Pinyao International Photo Festival (China) and GuatePhoto Festival (Guatemala). She has been the chief curator of space and gallery – Espacio Satélite and Fototropía. She has also worked as the editorial director of Prisma I, Nueva Generación, Prisma II, and GuatePhoto18 Photobook. As a jury and portfolio reviewer, she has participated in FotoVisura Grant, Prix Pictet, Photolucida, Trasatlántica PhotoEspaña, Festival de La Luz and FotoFest. As an artist, she has participated in several group exhibitions at festivals such as the New York Photo Festival, ESFOTO (El Salvador) and Foto 30 (Guatemala), MOPLA (Los Angeles) and has exhibited in many art galleries in Guatemala. She recently presented the publication of her current book Piedra-Padre, Universo with a solo exhibition in La Erre, among other activations such as the experimentation of El Regreso de Saturno in an extra-artistic space.
